PhD Candidate position at GCOM with focus on waveform processing
The Communications Research Group (GCOM) at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) in Madrid, Spain, offers 1 PhD Candidate position to work in research funded by the Horizon Europe program.
The research to be performed is focused on advancing waveforms and channel estimation for the next generation of mobile communications (6G). These will be key ingredients in the future mobile radio access network, aiming to satisfy the throughput, energy efficiency, positioning accuracy and feasible complexity requirements that the evolution of mobile communications towards 6G demands.
The research will take place in a highly international and cooperative environment with academic and industrial partners, where we aim to unlock multiplicative gains in terms of energy efficiency, spectral efficiency, communication and millimetre-level sensing resolution while maintaining backward compatibility with the existing 3GPP technologies through a unified multi-dimensional waveform processing approach.
The candidate will be enrolled in the PhD program at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M).
Candidate’s profile
The candidates should have a university master’s degree and be eligible to enrol in a PhD program at UC3M.
