Job Description

The Faculty of engineering at Université de Sherbrooke in Canada is searching for a driven, highly skilled individual to contribute, at the post-doc level, to a major 4-year R&D project aiming at developing new generations of audio coding for immersive applications over wireless networks. The work will be done in collaboration with world recognized industrial partner, VoiceAge Corporation, a leader in speech and audio standards worldwide.

Work will include two main responsibilities : 1) researching and developing new tools and functionalities for audio processing and coding for immersive and interactive applications, including the tools of artificial intelligence and advanced signal processing; 2) supervising graduate students and integrating their various contributions into a global solution.

The work environment will include graduate and non-graduate students, post-docs and several research professionals with a long and diverse experience in speech and audio compression as well as all aspects of standardisation activities.

Salary will be according to experience and demonstrated skills.

Requirements:
· Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or other related fields with experience in signal processing, audio compression, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
· Proven publication record.
· Excellent ability to communicate in English.
