Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (Headington) and the Machine Learning Research Group (Central Oxford), both within the Department of Engineering Science. The post is funded by the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), and is fixed-term for 3 years.

As part of a team developing novel methods for performing patient monitoring in hospital and home settings, you will be responsible for developing personalised, predictive models for forecasting patient health. This programme is undertaken as part of a collaboration with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and involves implementation of the resulting machine learning systems within demonstrator projects to be deployed within clinical studies in the patient’s home.
