Funded PhD in speech and video Quality of Experience. Our understanding of the importance of audio and video quality and how they interact with each other from a quality of experience perspective is limited. Such knowledge is vital for future video streaming and live video conferencing applications. Further understanding of audio-visual interactions could allow meaningful weighting of quality-salient features. The researcher will look at how the content and context influence perspectives on quality of experience and use this to guide the choice of optimal spectrum usage for provision of audio and video.
